  I just left his branch. I discovered a problem when I realized an employee had made a mistake on my account which caused me to have fees deducted and created a double payment on a loan which I could not afford. The manager admitted the mistake but that's where the moment turned sour. Although he admitted his employee's mistake caused me to be charged fess, I was advised it was not his responsibility to see if was refunded the money. Wells Fargo took money from another institution I use after I ordered the automatic withdraw stopped and now I face paying almost $400 to fix the mistake. I have lost all respect for this bank. Take my advise, use a credit union.

  I got pre-approved for a mortgage, and my consultant told me that the he saw "no issues" and that my loan would go through no problem. I was hesitant to pay for the appraisal, because I wanted to be SURE the loan was going through before spending $500 on an appraisal. He told me to go ahead and pay the appraisal fee, because my loan was going through fine. So I paid the (NON REFUNDABLE) $500, and only AFTERWARDS did he tell me that I needed "non traditional credit sources" before the loan would continue. (Despite being pre-approved) This is impossible for me, because I have never owned a credit card before, or opened any other lines of credit. (First time home buyer). So my loan fell through, and I was out $500. I feel I was misled into paying the appraisal, being told my loan was in good standing. The appraiser never even came to the house to appraise it, but they still kept the money. So I lost $500 for NOTHING. Before dealing with Wells Fargo, several friends of mine discouraged me against it, but I decided to give them a shot anyway. I should have listened! They have a reputation of being crooked.
